In addition to what is listed above, NH also has several good country fairs, including the Deerfield Fair, Hopkinton State Fair, and the Sandwich Fair. There are several other small fairs in the state as well. My wife and I also enjoy the Pumpkin People festival in the North Conway/Jackson area each October. Basically, you drive around with a map hunting for the 50-75 businesses that have put characters built out of pumpkins on display (e.g. celebrities, super heroes, cartoon characters, etc.).
